Dalton Tavernier is a World traveling Photographer (Digital and Film), shooting everything and anything from Icelandic horses  to Hollywood Actors and, has work displayed in a juried art selection of his work at the renowned Toledo Museum of Art Gallery Gift Store.

Dalton Started a Journey in 2011 venturing around America with his brother Landon Tavernier to shoot unique  uninhabited mansions-some that have since have been destroyed. His journey is still going with endless new directions-like life itself.  The Brothers have created many art films within the years and have both grown as humans and artists.  Dalton and Landon grew up in an artistic Family with their mother  (Trish) being a local stage Actor (amongst other things!) Dalton and Landon got  VIP seats and backstage passes to many of their mothers performances, and enjoyed seeing her on local TV.  The bond was strong between the three and the creative aspect of life was always  within the home. Trish never stopped showing hers sons the beauty and art of the world…when they weren’t at a costume party or museum-they were at a concert…Trish would take her boys to hundreds of concerts growing up, and even took them out of school at times, to travel and  attend artist events-she knew what was in store for them.  Trish  grew up the eldest of seven children, her mother (Karen) was a Painter.

Dalton and Landon absorbed every bit of what their mother showed them.

Dalton and Landon’s father

Jim Tavernier was himself a photographer and always had a video camera in his hands filming everything in the boys lives-even if it was just them waking up for school. Jim had lived in Los Angeles as a an aspiring stunt man before meeting Trish and was also a competitive bodybuilder and business owner. He was the youngest of five children. Each Friday he took his sons to the movie theater and also enjoyed many camping trips every year. These trips were more than just a location and camper-they were adventures, they were father and son teachings, they were memories and lifetime stories.

Dalton and Landon started script writing and borrowing Dad’s camera to film backyard mysteries with their 10 year old friends.

Dalton’s original aspiration in life started in junior high when he told his mother (and teachers) that he wanted to be a ‘male super model’ -he was sure that this is what he was meant to do-(and its still a  possibility)-he was open to this when asked about his future but he was shy when it would be mentioned in parent teacher meetings. The Principal would refer to him as “Fabio”

For the next few years he went to school with bleach blond stripes in his hair and gel spikes that could pop a ballon! Everyone loved it and he got the nick names Vanilla Ice and Spike.

Dalton was convinced that he was going to be the male version of Tomb Raider someday and also a rockstar-his interest in music of course started very young but,  it started to become a clear vision when he was was gifted a custom Fender guitar for his 16th birthday…he’s was given his first electric guitar at the age of  10 by his mothers stage friend Emilio. Dalton used Emilio’s gift as a  prop for a band that Landon, Dalton and there friend Mike Monachino started in their fathers basement named “Flat Surface”…this band created an image and feel-and the 3  boy self recorded  many sessions with Jims camera. But, at 16 Dalton thought music could be more than a childhood thing. So he took some lessons and formed multiple bands in his teenage and young adult years as the lead singer and guitarist, but he never felt the other members were  as serious as he was and had too many obligations in life to  have enough time and commitment to invest in what Dalton was looking for. He still writes and performs songs as a solo artist.

Photography connected Dalton to people on a personal and creative level and it allowed him to compose and share a vision-and that is what he loves-it brings him great joy and peace and self expression.

June of 2021 Dalton was accepted into a top rated Artist residency at the renowned, Château , Orquevaux, in France for his excellence in photography,  and also performed a global live streaming concert at closing for the Village of Orquevaux!

That year he met a man named Ron Myer a.k.a “Mumbles” who was living with terminal cancer-and the two became best friends… For a year and a half the two were inseparable- traveling to Paris multiple times and many other counties until Rons Death in 2023. (Ron left Dalton the proceeds after the sale of his house)Ron believed so much in Dalton AND in his art, and said that Dalton was the “love of his life”

They traveled through Paris in 2022 when Dalton met the ‘love of his life’ Natali and they married in a private ceremony in Copenhagen and are still traveling through out he world.

In 2023  they both finished an Intensive live Yoga teacher Certification school in Bali, Indonesia and are currently traveling throughout Spain.
